Questions about Allergies and NAET:
Q: I've heard that hidden allergies could be causing my health problems. Can this be true, and how can I find out if I have any?
A: Yes it is very possible and most likely. Even known allergies can be responsible for illness and disease. If you have any unusual physical, physiological, or emotional symptoms without any obvious reason, you can suspect an allergy (or energetic imbalance). There are a few techniques that you can learn to do on your own to determine if you are allergic or sensitive to something. Some of these methods are various types of muscle response testing, pulse testing, and more. Allergies can be defined as an "overreaction" or "hypersensitivity" of the body's immune system to certain substances, emotions, or even other people. Allergies can actually be permanently removed from your body by retraining the brain to recognize offending substances in a different manner. The technique that does this is called NAET or Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique named so for the medical doctor that discovered it. The technique is non-invasive, painless, and effective. If you would like to discover hidden allergies, be allergy free or just want more information, please call me.
Q: How does NAET work?
A: NAET uses a number of methods including massage, acupressure, muscle response testing (similar to kinesiology), Chinese Medicine to identify and eliminate allergies. The testing is done simply, pain-free, and non-invasively to identify and them eliminate the allergies. The treated allergen is then avoided for a twenty-five hour period as the body "restrains" itself. For most people, the allergy is then eliminated, permanently.
Q: I am allergic to dairy products — can that be taken care of in one treatment?
A: No, it cannot. To ensure that NAET works properly in the long term, one is tested and treated for the "top 15" allergens. These items consist of the basic nutrients that our body needs to function. By correcting any of these allergies first, your body is restoring its ability to heal itself and provide the proper foundation for eliminating other known allergens. If these treatments do not clear the dairy allergy, individual items will then be treated as needed.
Q: How many NAET treatments will I need?
A: It is difficult to predict how many treatments will be needed. Each person is different, therefore, requiring their own program. It is generally safe to say that the longer you have been sick, the more NAET treatments that are required to restore your body to good health. Some people require not only being treated for example, say Calcium Mix, but also some individual components or items in the Calcium Mix. Some people also may require combinations of additional items with Calcium Mix in order to completely clear calcium. This need for individual items or combination of items is checked on returning appointments.
Q: How is it possible I can be allergic to the basic nutrients I need to survive?
A: It is important to understand that the definition of allergies used by NAET practitioners is a bit different than that used by the traditional medical world. NAET practitioners use the term allergies more expansively than an over-exaggerated immune system response, but that of an energetic response or imbalance in the body that speeds up, slows down or even blocks energy movement in the body. Through this process the body has identified a sensitivity to something and gets confused (or is even uneducated) about how it should respond to a substance. This is referred to as an allergy by NAET practitioners.
Questions about Brain Health and Metabolic Assessments:
Q: My doctor tells me that all my blood tests are normal and I feel ok. Why should I bother taking the Brain Health and Metabolic Assessment? (BHMA)
A: Unfortunately, with most medical tests, problems are not identified until there is pathology (disease) present. The BHMA provides early indications of brain and metabolic states which can help us prevent disease. With all pathology, some degeneration has already taken place. If we can address problems before significant degeneration has taken place, there is a much better chance of restoring a state of good health.
Q: I have recently been diagnosed with ALS, MS, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. Is there anything that can be done to cure them?
A: Unfortunately, there is no cure at the present for these diseases. Through the BHMA, we can see which areas of the brain are having difficulty and address them. The progression may be able to be slowed, but not reversed. Through targeted treatment, we may be able to slow the progression and improve the quality of life.
Q: What can I learn about myself from taking the Brain Health and Metabolic Assessment?
A: We can learn about the overall communication activities in your body. Each question set is based upon documented associations between either metabolic or brain functions with specific symptoms. Each category gives us a picture of the general condition of that specific function (e.g., blood flow to the brain, digestion, endocrine hormones, stress levels etc.). By viewing the results in a big picture, we can see which areas are not functioning optimally and discover why.
Q: How do my physical symptoms relate to my brain health?
A: It has recently been documented that the brain actually controls many different systems in the body. When a person is constipated, for example, the brain is not sending and/or receiving the signals that start peristalsis (the signal for bowel movement). So when someone has frequent or chronic constipation it is an indication that something isn't firing correctly in the brain. Both must be addressed to restore the body's balance.
Q: What do neurotransmitters do, and what does that mean to my overall health?
A: There are many neurotransmitters that perform many different functions. Four key neurotransmitters are serotonin, dopamine, GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), and acetylcholine. These neurotransmitters, together with other hormone pathways, do many things like managing the functions of sleep, memory, stress response, proper digestion, energy level, concentration, emotions, coordination, creativity, sex drive, stamina and performance, and more. Each of these transmitters is analyzed through the information received from the brain health and metabolic assessment.
Q: How can blood pressure relate to my brain health? I thought my heart controlled blood pressure?
A: Your heart does control your blood pressure. What low or high blood pressure indicates relative to brain health is that the brain is not getting enough blood flow. The blood carries oxygen and nutrients that the brain requires to function properly. Proper blood flow to the brain is critical to good health.
Q: How does having cold hands or feet have anything to do with my brain function?
A: Cold extremities are yet another indication that the brain isn't getting enough blood flow. Because your feet, hands, and head are farthest away from your heart, it is more challenging to get the appropriate blood flow where it belongs.
Q: What do digestion difficulties have to do with my brain health?
A: Because the brain sends and receives signals in the base of the brain to complete the digestion and elimination process, digestion difficulties also indicate that the brain isn't able to do what it is required to do. The signals can be over active or underactive—diarrhea or constipation.
Questions about specific health concerns:
Q: There are many diets circulating these days—how do I tell which one is right for me?
A: First of all, there are many fad (popular) diets. A true diet is not a fad, but a way of life. Choosing the one that is right for you is of critical importance. A true, effective diet (lifestyle) is one that takes your unique characteristics into account. There are a few of these, The Blood Type Diet by Peter D'Adamo, The Body Type Diet by Dr. Elliot D. Abravanel, and The Metabolic Typing Diet by William Wolcott and Trish Fahey. All of these have their strong points, but the one I have found to have the best results for people is The Metabolic Typing Diet. To follow this diet, I recommend you buy the book and take the 65-question inventory that helps you to determine your type. Wolcott and Fahey have done years of extensive research that takes not only your chemical make-up into account but also how your nervous system responds to a number of things. It truly takes a broad spectrum of important bodily functions into account. When you eat according to your metabolic type, you will find your ideal weight, eliminate cravings, improve your energy levels, bolster your immune system, conquer indigestion, fatigue and allergies, and more.
Q: I am hearing many concerns about genetically modified organisms (GMO) foods. Are they safe?
A: There is significant controversy surrounding this. The food industry stands firm that they are safe and better for our environment. Studies are now showing that the process of "deaminating" grains to make them more water-soluble and easier to work with in processed foods has actually created a new protein that our bodies do not recognize. You can visit www.Mercola.com to find more information about this. It is difficult to be sure if you are avoiding GMO foods, and there are resources on Mercola's website to help you find out. It is also believed that this deamination of grains is contributing to the rapid rise in gluten intolerance or sensitivity.
Q: What are hormones and what do I need to know about them?
A: Hormones are chemical signals or messengers that regulate and direct all bodily functions. We all (men and women, boys and girls) need properly functioning hormones to maintain good health, so if you care about your health or physical performance capability, you will want to understand how your hormones are working. Hormones regulate functions such as metabolism, reproduction, growth, stress response, breathing, blood pressure, digestion, and many others.
Some symptoms or illnesses that can result from hormonal imbalance(s) include: insomnia, excessive perspiration, premature aging, fatigue after meals, craving sweets during the day, fatigue, loss of motivation, unexplained weight gain, depression, hair loss, heart palpitations, change in sex drive, headaches, mood swings, frequent urination, decrease in physical stamina and/or performance, varicose veins or hemorrhoids, PMS and other menstrual difficulties, menopausal difficulties, andropause (mistakenly called male menopause), heart disease, and cholesterol imbalances, just to name a few.
Our diet, lifestyle, genetics, environment and even our beliefs can impact how effectively our hormones function.
Q: I work in an extremely high-stress environment. What can I do to lower my stress levels or help my body cope?
A: There are many things you can do. Stress is becoming one of the top causes for poor health and disease. First, it is important to understand that the adrenal gland, a tiny little gland that sits on top of the kidneys, secretes chemicals called cortisol and adrenaline, which help to manage blood sugar and stress levels respectively in the body. Our bodies weren't designed to live in a perpetual state of stress and, over time, our adrenals can become tired or even exhausted. Some of the symptoms associated with overly stressed adrenal glands include: fatigue, headaches with physical or mental stress, a weak immune system, allergies, slow starter in the morning, gastric ulcer, afternoon headaches, fullness or bloated feeling, craving of sweets, caffeine or cigarettes, blurred vision, unstable behavior, cannot stay asleep, or/or cannot fall asleep.
The adrenal glands affect a number of body functions, so it is important to find ways to help your body deal with these high stress levels. The most effective ways are to:
1) Avoid substances that stimulate the adrenal glands.
2) Stabilize blood sugar levels.
3) Exercise in an aerobic heart range.
4) Use relaxation techniques.
5) Use nutritional supplementation if you are not able to reduce/eliminate your stressors.
Q: I am a middle-aged male, feeling tired frequently. I've noticed a decrease in my physical performance and stamina. Is this a normal part of aging?
A: This is what we are told we can expect, but I believe it doesn't have to be this way. Our bodies work extremely hard to maintain a state of balance. If we work and play hard without taking care of our physical and emotional needs, we will experience more bodily wear and tear, and more of the so-called "normal" aging process. Our bodies use many chemical signals, hormones, to maintain a state of natural balance. When male hormones get out of their natural balance, men can experience things like a decrease in sexual desire and/or performance, spells of mental fatigue, inability to concentrate, depression, decreased initiative or motivation, muscle soreness, or decrease in physical performance and stamina. Signals of male hormone imbalances include an increase in total cholesterol or triglycerides, a decrease in HDL (good) cholesterol, elevation in fasting blood sugar, an increase in blood pressure, unexplained mid-section weight gain, increase in fat distribution in breast area and hips, development of varicose veins or hemorrhoids, and/or changes in visual acuity. These are also signs that your brain is not sending or receiving the proper signals.
Q: I really want to make sure I avoid getting a cold or the flu. Is that possible?
A: Yes it is. The best way to avoid getting the flu or a cold, or to reduce the duration of the illness, is by taking care of your immune system rather than relying on medication or shots. Getting plenty of rest, fresh air, exercise, drinking pure water, and eating good whole foods are ways to create immune system health. Supplements like Vitamin C, Echinacea, and Olive Leaf Extract are also helpful. Homeopathic remedies can help prevent and relieve cold/flu symptoms without compromising normal body functions.
Taking over-the-counter cold or flu medications can actually prolong illness duration by suppressing your body's natural attempt to eliminate the invader(s). Key components of immune system care are diet, emotions, exercise, and nutritional supplement support.
Q: I continue to have trouble losing weight — is there any hope for me?
A: Yes, there is hope for you. Many people wonder why some diets work for others, but not for themselves. The reason is that we are all unique. We each have a specific metabolic type that is affected directly by what we eat. If we are eating foods appropriate for our type, we can maintain our ideal body weight with ease. If we eat foods that are in conflict with our type, we will constantly struggle with weight issues, either over or under. Emotions are also a key factor. Many times we eat unconsciously, driven by stress or emotions. The bottom line is that we are the ones in charge of the choices we make about what food we put in our mouths.
Unfortunately, there is no quick solution to losing weight. Taking weight off too quickly (more than one or two pounds a week) damages your metabolism. Weight will almost always return if you haven't gotten to the core by changing your eating habits. When people choose to take herbal supplements or stimulants to suppress appetites or increase energy, they can injure their metabolic system. After taking these products for a long time, it is difficult for your body to recover without significant attention. Jody can help you learn how to change your behaviors and achieve your ideal weight.
Q: Is there a way to lower my cholesterol naturally, without prescription medication?
A: Yes, there is. First, it is important to understand what is causing your liver to produce the "extra" cholesterol. Many times this is an indication of a bacterial infection somewhere in the body. There are now many studies showing that eating a low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet will actually increase cholesterol levels. When your body is deprived of "good fats," or is invaded by an infection, the liver naturally responds by creating cholesterol, a substance that helps keep our blood vessels pliable and protects us from "invaders." As you continue to deprive your body of fat, your body continues to respond by producing more cholesterol. Eating too many carbohydrates without protein and fat can also increase your triglyceride levels. Triglycerides are part of the total cholesterol calculation. It is important to find the proper balance of carbohydrates, protein, and fat for your specific metabolic type. There are several different supplements you can take to naturally lower your cholesterol while you are learning to modify your diet and/or eliminate the infection or allergies.
Q: Do I have to suffer from the pain of osteoarthritis or take medication forever?
A: Simply put, no — that is if you are willing to make some dietary changes and consider some alternative nutritional supplements. Osteoarthritis is the degeneration of cartilage in your joints. It can be caused by genetic defect, injury, or abuse, but most often by inappropriate diet. Most commonly affected joints are the knees, hips, and hands.
Learning how to eat properly for your metabolic type is the first step for long-lasting results. Learning the proper supplementation routine for your body is also important. glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, vitamins C, D & E, boron, omega 3's and many others have shown positive results. Studies are now showing that although aspirin relieves pain and reduces inflammation, it also facilitates joint destruction. Moderate daily exercise and drinking plenty of water is also very important.
Questions about Homeopathy and Naturopathy:
Q: What is Homeopathy and how can it help me?
A: Homeopathy is a proven alternative to over-the-counter and prescription medicines. It was discovered in the late 1700s by Samuel Hahnemann, MD. Homeopathy works under what is called the Law of Similars, which basically means "Let like be cured by like." Essentially, the goal of a homeopathic practitioner is to find the substance that produces in a healthy person the same symptoms the client suffers from. When properly prepared, homeopathic substances lose any poisonous potential and acquire the ability to help a person heal. These diluted substances send an energetic message similar to a sound wave to specific areas of the body. These messages trigger the body's own innate, natural healing response, known as the Vital Force. So instead of masking symptoms, homeopathic remedies work to resolve the cause of the symptoms (not just mask them), resulting in better health in the long term. When the correct substance is given, symptoms can be resolved permanently. Using homeopathic remedies is a core practice in naturopathic wellness care. Homeopathic remedies can be purchased at most local health food stores and are available at Heartland Healing Alternatives, Ltd.
Q: Just what is Naturopathy and can it help me?
A: "Nature cure" originated in 19th century Europe and was a specific system for treating diseases with natural elements such as water, air, diet, herbs, sunshine, and even clothing. Naturopathy is the combination of "nature cure" and homeopathy, spinal manipulation, and other natural therapies that were developed in early 20th century America. Naturopathy is a life-philosophy and healthcare approach that takes into consideration one's view of life (spiritual and emotional), lifestyle (diet and behaviors), and individual uniqueness (genetics). People are treated based on individual circumstances of symptoms, genetics, environment, beliefs, diet, and lifestyle, rather than generalizations. Nutrition is of primary importance in Naturopathy because food is thought of as medicine and fuel for the body. If you consume whole, natural foods, the body functions better. Naturopathy works well for almost all ailments, and is particularly effective when addressing chronic problems.
Q: What is the advantage of seeing a biological or holistic dentist?
A: Biological or holistic dentists look at the person as a whole and consider the impact of the entire body, not just the teeth. They also understand that chemicals and metals can have negative effects for some people. More information is available from www.KingTooth.com. Also check our Resources page for information about biological dentists in this area, and for more information about mercury exposure.
Questions about Bio-energetics:
Q: What is Bio-energetics?
A: Bio-energetics is the field of biology that studies energy. Biological energy is information processing. The information is processed by chemical and electrical reactions. Bio-energetics uses the knowledge from science, engineering, and medicine. Its long history is rooted in the experiences and discoveries of the last 5,000 to 6,000 years. However, Bio-energetics is new because the remedies, tools, and techniques have recently been brought together with advances in technology. Bio-energetics has progressed greatly through the use of conductance testing.
Every single being and thing on the earth is made of energy. The slower the vibration or movement of the electrons within the substance, the more solid it is. Rocks are thought by many to be inanimate, but in fact they are energetic, and their vibrational pattern is so slow they appear inanimate. Many other things vibrate so rapidly, they are not visible to the naked eye. Well, people are made of energy too — there are electrons, protons, and neutrons that regulate all the activity in our body. These molecules are pure energy. Energy cannot be stopped, it is always moving; so if there is a blockage in the pathway, the energy will create a new path to continue its movement, resulting in illness.
Q: What is energy medicine and is it different from bio-energetic medicine?
A: The term energy medicine is basically interchangeable with bio-energetics, or bio-energetic medicine. Energy medicine is the concept of viewing and treating the body from an energetic, rather than a purely chemical, perspective. With energy medicine testing modalities (screening and balancing), we are evaluating the different electrical flows of the body. Bio-energetic analysis is the concept of analyzing the body in an energetic way, rather than focusing primarily on chemical level homeostasis (chemical balance of the body). With energy medicine, the various electrical and electromagnetic flows of the body are being evaluated, thus bio-electrical analysis gives us an energy picture of the body, rather than purely a chemical picture.
The key to understanding bio-energetic medicine is to know and understand that all processes of biological systems are controlled by electromagnetic oscillations. Biochemistry regards disease as a dysfunction of some biochemical processes (enzymes) that are registered and which are no longer functioning properly. These enzymes are regulated by the electromagnetic radiation of the electromagnetic coupling existing in the system. This radiation, which we measure, is the regulation of the activation of all biochemical functions. What we are observing is only a very small window in the optical range, ranging from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared. The same things also occur in all the other wave-length ranges. Another fact that is important to know — the healthy oscillation of an organ is the same for every person.
Q: Why is energy medicine important?
A: Energy medicine is extremely important in that it uses all aspects of the human body. Quantum physics and experiments in high energy particle physics have shown us that at the particle level, all matter is indeed energy. The very factors of life seem to be more energy-dominant than chemical-dominant. In other words, it is critical to understand the electrical activity of the body because it appears to be in the driver's seat.
BES is invaluable in cases where diseased organs cannot be clinically detected or have proven resistant to previous therapy due to an inability to investigate and treat the basic system in conjunction with the organ in question. BES allows more comprehensive statements to be made than any other available method, particularly those used in conventional medicine. Consequently, the results obtained with BES cannot always be confirmed through clinical methods of examination or laboratory tests. This is because the energetic changes that can be identified using BES precede changes in the cells or organs for which evidence can be supported physically.
Q: Does energy medicine replace or enhance traditional Western medical practices?
A: It absolutely enhances it, it clearly does not replace it. There are times when Western medicine practices are completely necessary and very valuable. Enhanced with energy medicine, we can truly convert our current healthcare system into a well care system. Many biological dentists, medical doctors, and chiropractors have added NAET to their practice and have been achieving phenomenal results. I am optimistic that energy medicine will become a mainstream practice as more and more doctors see the incredible capability of this technique.
Q: What clinical research has been conducted or is currently underway to establish a better understanding of the potential value of bio-energetic medicine?
A: There are a number of groups that have and continue to perform research in this area. Just a few of them are:
- University Medical Clinic, Wurzburg, West Germany
- National College of Oriental Medicine
- American Association of Acupuncture and Bio-Energetic Medicine
- Institute of Quantum and Molecular Medicine
- University of Hawaii
- Twin Foundations for East-West Medicine (Honolulu & Taipei)
- National Yang-Ming University School of Medicine
- Capital University in Washington, DC (they teach electro-dermal screening)
Q: What are the results or themes of the research conducted?
A: The general findings from the groups listed above are:
- The acupuncture and meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine is an important, real biophysical aspect of the living body.
- With the electro-dermal screening device (EDSD), it is possible to define, both quantitatively and qualitatively much of the meridian system and the energetic activity in the body.
- The meridian system is essential to most or possibly all bodily functions.
- The EDSD, which reads meridian information, is capable of delivering valuable information on nearly every facet of body function.
- The EDSD could serve as the standard "ruler" by which biological energy is measured, similar to body temperature and blood pressure. In other words, it is conceivable that someday the EDSD will be as commonplace as the thermometer and sphygmomanometer (blood pressure measuring device).
- The EDSD is non-invasive and economical. With its further refinement and acceptance, along with that of the associated testing methodology (EDST) and health management system, it may be possible to chart even the higher functions, including emotional, cognitive, and psychosomatic conditions.
- The EDST has the potential of developing into a truly complete test of the body, making possible levels of international medical standardization and meta-analysis unknown today.
- The device, test, and system may prove to be the greatest set of tools against disease created this century.
- Electro-acupuncture and kinesiology have proven to be eminently suitable as a screening method when used by general practitioners and dentists.
- In both diagnostic and therapeutic terms, it offers an ideal supplement to the range of facilities available to general practitioners and also augments the diagnostic methods available to them in conventional medicine.
- It is indispensable as a screening method in cases where the aim is to register changes in function as an impairment of the regulatory system and where suitable methods must be selectively used not only for diagnosis but also for treatment before the availability of physical findings.
- Electro-acupuncture as a primary method will not only prove to be of value alongside the diagnostic methods used in conventional medicine, but will acquire greater recognition as we find out more about the phenomena associated with the energetic and cybernetic methods by which the human system is regulated
Note: These findings have not been evaluated by the FDA.
Q: Why hasn't this technique been more broadly accepted or "officially" embraced by traditional medicine?
A: I think there are several reasons why it has been slow to be accepted. Generally, people are resistant to change regardless of what the change is. We like things to be familiar to us. In the fields of science and medicine, I think we are even more resistant to change when something unusual comes along. Modern medicine is based considerably on Newtonian physics, which has quite rigid rules of function. If you remember, people once laughed at Isaac Newton and now his discoveries are deeply ingrained in our day-to-day life. Energy medicine is based on quantum physics, which helps us understand the energetic nature of things. We can thank the work of Albert Einstein, Steven Hawking, and many others for their extensive research in this incredible field. With this approach, the body as energy can be explained and documented. Lessons and applications from quantum physics are slowly working their way into the mainstream of science. As the integration progresses, so will the acceptance of this technique.
Q: Is bio-energetic screening effective only in the prevention stages, or does it also help guide treatment decisions after disease sets in?
A: BES is effective in all stages. The thing to remember is that the longer a condition has existed, the longer it will take to undo the condition. There are six phases in the progression of disease. The further a person has moved through the phases to disease, the longer it takes to correct the problem. If a person has progressed to the sixth phase, which is cancer, it may or may not be able to be reversed depending upon the situation. All healing is also dependent upon the attitude and beliefs of the person. Whether the person truly believes they will or won't get better, they are right!
Depending upon the individual and "dis-ease," additional complementary treatments may also be necessary for full recovery — traditional methods, chiropractic, massage, psychotherapy, acupuncture, etc.
Q: How can I tell if my body is balanced?
A: For the most part, you really need the assistance of a practitioner. Most importantly, learn your anatomy. Know where your body parts are and what function(s) they serve. Learn how and when they are communicating with you — things like heartburn, headaches, indigestion, heart rhythm, pulse, skin rashes, hot flashes, etc., are all trying to tell you something is amiss. Once you learn the regular reactions and rhythms of your body, you are more in tune to something being out of balance and can begin to make changes for improvement on your own. Once you develop your own familiarity, a book that can help teach you self-kinesiology and how to listen to your body is Your Body Can Talk — How to Use Simple Muscle Testing to Learn What Your Body Knows and Needs by Susan L. Levy, D.D., and Carol Lehr, M.A.
Q: How do you determine which remedy best restores balance to the body?
A: This process was "accidentally" discovered by Dr. Voll. During a seminar, he was testing a patient with prostate problems. They determined that echinacea would be helpful in eliminating the problem. They took a lunch break, and the patient (another doctor) picked up some echinacea and put it in his pocket. They resumed the testing process and the imbalance no longer existed. Voll was baffled. They finally discovered the remedy in the jacket pocket of the patient. He then removed it from his pocket, and the imbalance was again recorded on the device — they returned the remedy, the balance returned!
This process tends to make people skeptical, and it does have a scientific explanation. It is based on radiation. When a medication or substance is placed in the hand of a patient and the measurement value of the acupuncture point improves, or the muscle strengthens using QRT, then it "matches"; if the measurement deteriorates, the medicine does not fit. In either case, an effect is radiated from the medicine to the body to induce those changes in measurement. Radiation is able to effect such a change in the body, even when the medication is not yet in the body of the patient. When a medicine is tested in a bottle, the radiation also has the quality of penetrating glass in order to effect measurement changes of such a degree at the acupuncture points.
This process was proven by Nobel Prize winner Professor Heisenberg, who stated that matter is proven to be a form of energy that causes reactions in the body on the basis of subtle energy influences. Essentially, the biological information of the medicine is carried through the meridians via electron waves.
Q: What is the number one thing the average person does that has the most impact on their bio-energetics?
A: I don't believe there is a "number one" cause. Human beings are quite complicated; it is part of our experience. For example, everyone is unique due to our individual genetics, environment, and lifestyle (diet, exercise, consumption habits), and beliefs. You could have two people who both choose to smoke cigarettes. One person develops lung cancer, the other lives to age 95 or more with no visible signs of problems. This has a great deal to do with genetics and our beliefs. Some of us have stronger systems than others who become more susceptible to a weakness. Both bodies were working to compensate for the contaminants in the lungs and bloodstream; one body was stronger than the other. Some of us carry beliefs about illness and death, and these thoughts contribute to the outcome.
The best thing you can do is to ensure you get plenty of fresh clean air, sunlight, pure water, exercise, rest, and eat whole foods. Limit your exposure to chemical contaminants. AND — pay attention to what you are thinking as "your thoughts (biography) create your biology (physical body)" — Caroline Myss. For more information, visit www.myss.com.
Q: How much of a lifestyle change is required to correct problems once they are discovered?
A: That varies by individual. It may be as simple as increasing the amount of water you drink daily. For others it could be improving their diet, reducing alcohol intake, quitting smoking or other addictive substances, spending more time outdoors in the sunlight and fresh air, stress-reduction activities, or a change in employment, relationships, and/or environment. Perception is a key perspective here — because we are all at choice with everything we do, how we perceive these changes is in our control. Remember, we can make it difficult, or we can make it easy simply by choosing our attitude, beliefs, and perceptions.
Q: What BES success stories can you share?

Q: Does everyone achieve good results with this technique?
A: NAET and BES results have been extremely effective when done properly. However, results can vary person by person because we all have different genetics, environments, belief systems, and lifestyles.
. Some people are challenged to make some of the changes required to achieve better health. Another factor is that some people actually "need" their illnesses to be who they think they are.
What I mean by this needs a bit more explanation. This ties into Caroline Myss's philosophy: "Our biography becomes our biology." In other words, our life story (experiences and thoughts) creates our physical makeup. We also use a language called "woundology." This means that we learn to communicate around and to our illnesses. It can become the centerpiece of our conversations and relationships. We become our illness, and therefore are uncertain of what our life would be like without it, so we "need" to stay sick. Dr. Phil McGraw also says something similar, "We do what works — if it doesn't work for us, we don't do it anymore!" Figuring out your payoff for your illness or behavior is an important step before the healing process can occur. An Eastern philosopher once said, "When one is truly sick of being sick, one will find the path to wellness." In other words, people won't get better until they are truly ready to get better.
Yet another view to this is that some people have chosen to have a debilitating illness or disability in this lifetime. These people are thought to be spiritually advanced and agreed to come to teach us through their gift. Next time you see someone with a disability, you may just want to save your pity, and spend a moment of gratitude for their courage and willingness to teach us great things! You may also want to ask yourself what you can learn from them.
Q: What are the most important things for me to remember about bio-energetic screening?
A: BES:

Questions about ZYTO technology:
Q: How does ZYTO technology work?
A: ZYTO technology is used to help me maximize results by helping me to choose the right solution for your body at the right time. In the most basic terms, ZYTO technology uses quantum physics as well as established Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) technology to measure fluctuations in the electrical conductivity of the skin. A client places their hand on the hand cradle, the ZYTO software sends stimuli to the body using digital signatures that represent actual things, and the fluctuations in GSR are measured and interpreted. The response helps me see how your body responds to the items being tested, which ones it prefers, and how much it prefers them.
Q: Are the results accurate?
A: Recently a hospital study was conducted that showed a correlation of 87% between the results of ZYTO's technology and organ diagnosis. In addition, ZYTO practitioners have performed tens of thousands of assessments worldwide. Many practitioners have also used other modalities to evaluate the results of their ZYTO software with great results.
Q: Are the results reproducible?
A: One of the most common questions that arises as people are getting to know the technology and how it works, is why the actual data from the scans changes from one assessment to another. As a matter of fact, because of what we are measuring, we don't expect reproducibility. When dealing with complex mind-body systems, repeatable measurements are not expected. Instead you look for patterns and trends. ZYTO technology measures the most rapidly changing field in the body, the energetic field, which processes 400 million impulses of information per second.
Q: Are there any research studies on this technology?
A: There are a myriad of studies that have been conducted over the last century on GSR and its use in measuring the body's reaction to stimuli. In addition, several independent studies have been conducted by health professionals using ZYTO's technology
Q: Can this technology be used to treat or diagnose?
A: ZYTO technology is not designed to treat, cure or diagnose. It is a tool designed to assist the practitioner in finding the body's preferences for any list of items. This information is invaluable in helping the practitioner determine which product is going to maximize therapeutic results for the client.
Q: Is this technology FDA approved?
A: ZYTO's technology does not qualify as a medical device and therefore does not require FDA approval. We are always reviewing the changes in the industries and the laws of the countries we operate in to remain in compliance.
